The hospitality and tourism industry provides experiences that we look forward to for dining, recreation, special events, and travel.

Hospitality Overview

Hospitality and tourism relate to the management, marketing, and operations of restaurants and other food services, lodging, attractions, recreation events, and travel related services. The hospitality and tourism industry provides experiences that we look forward to for dining, recreation, major life events, or just to get away for a little while. Hospitality and tourism workers help plan trips and make travel reservations, operate hotels and amusement parks, and guide tour groups. Most of us interact with hospitality workers every day, whether grabbing a cup of coffee, dining out, or going to see a movie.

I chose the Travel and Tourism Industry as my career because I have always had a passion for people.  In our industry, we get to create the stories of our communities and invite visitors to experience what makes our area the perfect place to visit so they can make memories and share them with others.
