Police officers use a wide range of technology to protect individuals, identify perpetrators, and ensure successful prosecution against those who break the law. Police officers have an array of tasks they perform through divisional assignments. The start of an officer’s career will begin in the patrol division, where they will learn the most basic of law enforcement skills. From there, officers will have the opportunity to further their careers by becoming members of other divisions such as Criminal Investigations and Narcotics.
